can't do any better than G&L! and i'm with @Riff Ranger's thinking: the green is a feature! it looks great, and you already know that it plays great and sounds great --- congratulations on your new instrument!

Congratulations on getting one of the finest basses (IMO) out there regardless of the price tag. G&Ls are beautifully instruments.
No surprise the stock pickup sounds really good. G&L makes a great pickup. I’d leave it alone and just play it as is if it were mine.
I also really like that teal color.

I think so as well. I picked up my LB-100 used. I had a Geezer P-pickup sitting around and swapped it for the original on the LB-100. I like the Geezers, but found that I like the original G&L pickup better. So that's what I'm using. The tone knob is your friend on these basses!

You’re going to love it. BTW, based on your OP this is your first MIA bass. What are (were) your other bass (s) that were not MIA basses?
My first "real" bass was an early 80s G&L sb-2 .I still own it and it has aged wonderfully and sounds better with age.

I don't like green but I like this one! The black HS matches the pickguard so I would keep it as is rather than swapping for pearl to match the inlays.
Don't paint it or change the pick guard. It looks great as is. Love that color.
Congrats on a beautiful, quality instrument! Stay on here and it will not be your 1st for very long!
I started with a used MIM jazz, then a used MIM Mike Dirnt P bass off here, next a 1983 MIJ Squier Precision, and finally a 1987 MIJ Jazz Bass Special. Right now the Squier is my bass with flats and the JBS has rounds. The JBS is now on the chopping block and the LB-100 will take its place as my main gigging bass. Squier is mostly my noodling at home and practice bass.

I’m glad everyone likes the color. I don’t hate it by any means. I just wish the headstock matched the body or was plain maple. Keeping it black I think a black body with black pickguard, headstock, and binding would look killer with a maple/pearl block neck. But I certainly don’t plan on doing anything soon. I dropped a decent amount on it and it plays better than any bass I’ve had my hands on including some custom shop Fenders.
