I didn't need it.... but it was too good a deal to pass up. These are great, underrated basses. I mainly got it to use as trade bait or to flip, but it's a really cool bass. Needs a bunch of clean up and a good set up, so that'll be this afternoons project. Reasonably clean on the front, has buckle rash on the back...obviously seen some gig time. Super light weight too.

Congrats on a great deal !

They're so incredibly underrated. I'll probably throw some dimarzios or something in there and wire it VVT or do master vol, blend, tone... keep it simple. It'll make a nice "fly in gig" bass .... sound good and don't need to worry much about it. The oly PITA thing is that it uses two J pickups of the same length...oh well...DiMarzio sells them separately. Barden does too, but I doubt I wanna put that kind of $$$ into this bass.

I haven't stripped the body yet .... I fly to Indy tomorrow, so i'm kinda relaxing now while the Tru-Oil sets on the neck.

Those are GREAT basses! I've had a couple of the lower line Roadstar II's in P-bass form as well as a couple PJ's. All had nice fretwork, sounded great w/ stock pickups and were 8lbs or less. Prime examples of Fujigen quality at that time.

I can't wait to see what you do with this one!
Not to jack at all, but I thought it might be interesting...Here's the Squier cousin to your Ibanez, also Fujigen. They almost look like the same color!
