Just checked the Mod Shop, and right now they're not offering the rosewood necks. Good timing!

For a little more than an AmPro I knew there would be a premium. But the flipside is you get to semi-customize so there is some uniqueness without true custom cost and it is still a straight up P.
And when I ordered they had a disclaimer that assembly was suspended until Jan. 11. So basically they shipped in under 2 weeks. I think that's impressive.

I don't see "mod shop" on the Fender site......under what should I be looking?

It’s one of the categories under electric basses and guitars. And @Gsnorgathon is right, they must have run through the stock of rosewood necks.

Ah...mystery solved....from in Canada the site doesn't give you access....you have to re-select USA, and of course take delivery in the US......and no 5 string bass options????
