NBD: PAWN SHOP FIND !

So I had zero plans to buy a bass today. It was pretty much the furthest thing from my mind, as I already have a ton of basses. But, the Bass Gods sometimes have their own weird way of smiling on us....


So I went to the pawn shop around the corner from me, not to look around, but to get (of all things) a USB cable. They sometimes have them tucked away from getting in computers and printers, and I really didn't feel like going to Best Buy, Walmart, or where ever ...especially since the pawn shop is 1/4 mile away.

Anyway, I walked in, and while they were seeing if they had a USB cable, I figured I'd poke around. So I go over to the guitar section and see the usual selection of mistreated Squier and Washburns....then it catches my eye. Tucked away in the corner was a cool bass, and it looked like it was in great shape ! The tag said $499.99, so I took it up front to see what they would do. It turns out that the bass had been put on the floor today, but I was still able to talk them down to $450 "out the door", so I handed them the cash and away I went !

It's clean, has a gig bag, and I really had no plans to buy it.... but here it is anyway !

haha I was scrolling down to see some butt ugly no brand 80's copy bass and instead I see one of my all time favourite basses, talk about a slap in the face haha. Well done though, for $450 that is seriously a nice find, these things retail for like $2k down here.

Yeah, I figure the WORST I can do is make a profit if I decide to sell or trade it. It's pretty clean. I'll probably take it to my gig Thursday with my Sonic Blue P and see how it stacks up.
