NBD Peavey Fury...

Yep they can be that good! I'm curious though got a pic? I am unfamiliar with "deluxe" or your upgrades made it custom deluxe?
Happy to oblige! She's an oldie, but a goodie for sure! Read here in past that rosewood fb was the "deluxe" option. Who knows. Probably a $40 upgrade "back in the day, but these are all great basses and highly undervalued so just buy more I guess".

:drool::drool: Saweeet Peavey! I think I saw your bass in a NBD post...
I had mentioned earlier I saw a rosewood board on a fury a while back I thought it was killer looking. I know it was an option but don't remember ever seeing one in the wild. Very nice!

Thanks mate! Its really exceeded my expectations over and over. Once in a blue moon you'll see one pop up. I just got lucky on this one that came up when I made up my mind to get one. There was one recently on ebay and the guy explained the deluxe thing in the listing.

Nice score. My oldest bass I still own is a Fury. Every time I think it’s time to “thin the heard”, I’ll pick that bass up, even if I haven’t played it in a while, play it, and put it right back in the “don’t sell” pile.
I can understand fully, my 92 was "parked" for a while, it was always a phenominal player but when I pulled it from it's case and picked it up I again I immediately remembered why I could never let this one go, now it's got a place (wall hanger) easily accessible One of my favorite players.

I had a 91 and 95. Got the 91 in 91 when I was 16. I didn't play bass for like 20 years, but still carried that thing along until I became an actual bassist in my late 30s. I ended up swapping parts and made two basses, one with the parts I liked most and another with all original parts. Gave that one to my drummer. Only thing I still have from my original bass is the red body, but I feel that's good enough of a reminder. :)

TLDR; Best.
