There is a definite bias from some Peavey USA owners against Peavey import models.
Pretty silly IMO but like yourself I only care if the goodies works not where they came from

Its not just business,you scammed them using the sallers lack of knowledge.

Nobody held a gun to their head. The seller could have repaired it, or refused the offer. He chose not to. He probably gave the poor schmuck who needed to pay his rent forty bucks for it in the first place. Buyer beware, and seller beware.

I have no experience with Peavey basses but hear good things all the time. Kudos on the haggle AND the cool NBD

I got a USA Grind from a pawnshop in Meridian for $75. Preamp didn't work, just wired wrong.
