NBD - Player Jazz - blueburst

I sampled one of these just as they hit the store by me. It checked all the boxes for a possible purchase…Feel, Looks and Sound. I was very impressed! For better or for worse, I wasn't in the buying vein that day. I would need to liquidate a couple of instruments before I seriously consider another purchase.

Also, if I did grab one, I would want to swap out the neck for a Geddy-style, Squier CV '70s Jazz. To my eyes, the black binding and blocks would tie the whole "look" together.
I would put a maple board/pearl block 70s neck on with a pearloid pickguard.

This would work too

Supah-seventies…doubly so if you gave it white pickup covers! :D

This would work too
What I find funny is, though, while those are individual parts that don't usually catch my fancy, they all tie together quite nicely there. It's just straight up classy. :)

I love these aquaburst Jazzes SO MUCH! And the Teles, too! I have had a few different aqua jazzes in my hand and very nearly bought one on two occasions... but dadgummit I already have a super customizes J style aquaburst (see profile pic) and I just haven't worked up the nerve to get another yet. :/

Maybe if I have a wad of cash in my pocket one day and my defenses are low... I still might join the Fender Player Aquaburst GC Special Model Owners Club here on TB. :D:cool:

Congrats to all the owners on a fine bass!

Howdy! After selling my Pbass recently I decided it was time to try something different and after checking out a few different options I found this at my local GC and couldn’t pass up the deal. It was on sale for $650 and the last one they had. The other regular player jazzes were $799. After a quick setup at home, this thing plays so well and I am loving the sounds I can get from it… very growly or smooth and silky. The cherry on top is the fact it weighs about a pound less then the pbass I was playing.
