Welcome to the club.
PS: my stage rig when I didn't just DI was a Peavey Mark VI and 15" Black Widow single bass cab. Heavy isn't the word for them.
I like that tone knob just on the knife edge of where it changes everything, just around 7 depending on the individual bass.Front pup, dime the vol and tone. Bridge pup, dime the vol, drop the tone below "7". You can thank me later.

That is my favorite setting on the Toasters, too. Single coil neck, bridge humbucker.Front pup, dime the vol and tone. Bridge pup, dime the vol, drop the tone below "7". You can thank me later.
"Squonk" is what I call that "out of phase, tone at 7" setting.Peavey T-40 Settings Spreadsheet
I have that printed out and on the wall behind my T-40. It's really amazing how much sonic ground you can cover with the controls. It looks like @oldskoolskatedad has the pickups out of phase, which gets into some REALLY interesting territory - try dime-ing everything, then drop one of the tone knobs to/below 7 and add some reverb, chorus or flanger.
