NBD = PV T40

Mang, do I love this!

Thankee!

The first good bass I played was a G&L (belonged to the bassist in a band I was in) and I've always hadda soft spot, but not a deep enuff pocket, for 'em. I do have a cuppla F-100II guitars.

That friend's G&L bass, BTW, has an interesting story of loss, in that he left it on the roof of his Trans Am and drove off without it ... Plays a Lakland now.

Someday I'm gonna me get a L1000 or mebbe a SB-2, tho'.

Can't wait to jam with it! I spent a cuppla hours comparing drive pedals for my two main boards because, well, it's what a bassist does, right? Had the S-Drum going, decided that the Pork Loin is best but that Joy Ultimate Drive is close and the Boneshaker and the Chgo Stompworks Triangle all get me there and I was just winding up and the doorbell rang and FedEx was there ...

The "B" in "NBD" doesn't just mean, "bass", y'know.

I was always wanting a T40 until I played a G&L, but they still hold a soft spot in my heart
I could afford one now but alas I only play 5s
Congratulations on a beautiful bass

Ya know, PEAVEY still holds a special place in my heart.
Over the years they've always delivered quality, durable products for not a lot of money!
I almost think their pricing gave the perception that they were not as good as the Fender, Ampeg or Gibson of the world but I've always been pleased with them.

They're an underrated company in the used marketplace, too. I recently bought a Peavey Classic 30, which is a 30-watt tube guitar amp. It was only $320 used. To my knowledge there isn't another 30-watt tube guitar amp to be had out there at that price. And it sounds great and is built so solidly.

I'm now investigating at some of their basses and tube bass amps. They seem like similar steals.
