NBD: Rebel Squier Edition

Ordered this on a whim from GC. I wanted a cheap black on black P bass to mess around with.

When I opened the box the first thing I noticed was all of the grease on it. It looked like someone was double fisting greasy bacon right before trading it in. The second thing I noticed was the Rebellion sticker on the pickguard.

After I cleaned it up a little bit, I plugged it in. Strings have to be replaced because they are DEAD. Pickups are loud. The tone knob is either on or off. There is no gradual change. Frets look good, no sharp edges. Cant find any dead notes. Weight is fine too. Songs and scratches galore. Not too bad for an Affinity from 2001. Bridge and some of the timers have some oxidation going on.

Anyone know anything about the tuners? I have never seen anything like them on a bass.

Overall I am happy with what I bought. Can’t wait to put some new strings on it!
