NBD - Rickenbacker 4003 Walnutburst content!

I just got this beautiful new Rickenbacker 4003 Walnutburst from Guitar Guitar UK today! It is beautiful!

It is 1 of 25 made with the Walnutburst finish in 2012. These crappy cell phone pics just don't do it justice.

As far as I know, it's only available at one guitar shop in the UK who specially requested the color:

I agree it should be a standard color. It's by far my favorite. I'd gladly trade my fireglo for one.

I have a "82 4001 in that color..back then it was called gloss walnut because they had a satin\matte walnut too...I also had a 4008 in that color that I sadly sold about 24 years ago..love that color and it should be a standard finish..

It's also similar to Montezuma Brown, which was a Color of the Year for two years. Probably my favorite Ric color of all time. And that's saying something because there are a LOT of Ric colors that always blew me away!

Nice...I've been eyeing one the same finish at Edinburgh Guitarguitar. Sadly the shop's setup isn't great, and I didn't like the neck as much as my '73 Ric 4001...seems a bit fatter? But the bass looks beautiful...
