On the left is my 4003W, on the right is my 4003SW. The "W" has Ric-O-Sound, the "SW" does not. And es, I love them both.

I've been wanting one since I played one briefly about three years ago. This one came up on CL for a too good to be true price. I couldn't bring myself to pay full retail for the 4003W I've been constantly eyeing. This is the SW and I can certainly live without binding and shark tooth inlays considering what I paid.

That's the one. The guy I bought it from said he played it three times and it's been in the case every since. There wasn't a mark, scratch or ding on it. The case candy hadn't even been opened. Warranty card wasn't even filled out.

Beauty. I bought a Jetglo 4003S new last Fall. And I also decided to forego the sharkfin inlays and binding (and stereo outputs that I never used on my previous 4003), to save a few hundred $$$.

Yours has exceptionally nice walnut. Really great looking basses, if I were to buy a Ric, this is the one.

I've been on the fence for so long about buying one (or building a clone). I KNOW that I'd have to do some work on the body of anything I got (GOTTA have that forearm contour, like a P or J). But- Oh! That sound!!!!!

That is stunning. Always was my favorite version of the Rick bass. (As far as Ricks go) I like the minimalist look to the neck and body on this model... dots, no binding, just killer.

@bassstrangler, I actually prefer the look of the SW over that of the regular W. I think it looks better without the blocks and binding. Congrats!
