NBD - Road Worn content

Back in December I convinced myself that I should trade away my 2TB Road Worn Precision, even though it had pretty much been my "go to" bass for the last year...:rollno:

Well I decided I was indeed wrong and needed another one. I started checking around, low and behold one pops up on the local CL for a good price...emails are sent, go check it out, and I bring it home...

Now, here is the kicker...I had a small accident with the RW before I traded it away in December resulting in a scratch in the pickguard...When I went to look at this bass, the scratch was there, this is my bass. The guy I bought it from tells me he got it used from a GC 2 hours away...guess I gotta keep it now...it came back :bassist:

A similar thing happened to me this past weekend. I was in a music store that I don't normally go to looking to buy a Road Worn Jazz and the guitar tech has a Spector bass on his bench. I told him that I didn't know that they sold Spectors. Turns out that they don't...he's just setting up his bass player's bass. I told him I used to own a white just like it and as I'm looking at it, I see that it is JUST like my old one. Right down to the hairline crack near the tone controls, the Hipshot and EMGs that I installed. I sold it to a buddy who lived 50 miles away 10 years ago. Small world huh? I wish I could get mine back.
