NBD: Sandberg Patchwork

Ok, I know, I really know this will not be a good amount of folks cup of tea. But, I saw a pic of this in the NAMM thread and tracked it down and bought it. It's totally my jam. And I love it!! Really plays nice and the build quality is as nice as any bass I've had. On the low side of 9lbs is a good thing too!! Now, let's stay way from the "tone of wood" discussion mmmmkay :-)

And these are now my two main 5vers. Both wonderful basses and very unique.

I “like” every NBD I see regardless of my own opinion of the instrument because I know the excitement of acquiring something I have wanted. Other people’s NBDs are more fun for me when they get something out of the ordinary, and this is certainly that. Yay for you and your weird bass! I dig it

Man, I low-key hate you right now. I got to play that exact bass at NAMM and it felt awesome!! Seriously though, I truly am happy for you; that’s a unique bass that sounds incredible...and as for which tonewood sounds best? ALL of them!

I always felt that it sounded friggin awesome.

Congrats, nice score!

Did Sandberg ever find the one that was stolen from last year’s NAMM?

Was that the one named Sybil? If so I think it did turn up and became some touring pro’s #1.
