Owned and styled by *****Hotel "Les Trois Rois" Basel, Switzerland. Europe's oldest hotel dated 1681 ... i had a ride in with Miles Davis, being security in chief during his last concert in Switzerland 1988; though the car was night blue then.

I think it' s rather Pau Ferro.

Ok, I know, I really know this will not be a good amount of folks cup of tea. But, I saw a pic of this in the NAMM thread and tracked it down and bought it. It's totally my jam. And I love it!! Really plays nice and the build quality is as nice as any bass I've had. On the low side of 9lbs is a good thing too!! Now, let's stay way from the "tone of wood" discussion mmmmkay

Here's my impressions at 3 months............ WOW! This bass plays, balances, sounds exceptional. It has far exceeded my expectations. Over St. Patty's (I'm in an Irish band) I had a day where we played 6 45 minute sets at 3 different locations and I never switched it out. It's light and easy. I switched to Sadowsky flats for the strings because I wanted more thump than pop, and although I could get there using the pre-amp I wanted the comfort on my fingers of flats. I know the Sandberg basses can seem on the high side for price, I just want to say, they are worth it. I had a GREAT Celinder PJ5 (higher priced) and the Sandberg kills it. Anyways, I'll update this threat at a "year" and see where we're at ... I got a gig on friday, I'm going to go woodshed! ....... Rawk!

I GAS hardcore for a patchwork jazz, but it'd be 5 grand and sandberg told me they'd have no way to guarantee it would be lightweight. so I had to pass (was going to order one for my 40th bday a couple years ago). but I still want one.

9.1 lbs for this one, it's light and feels great. I could see it being hard to know how it'll turn out. They are unique and 1 of a kind basses.... I love mine!!!

Yeah I need it to be 8 or less ideally for my shoulder. dammit. But they ARE awesome and I still want one.
