After 13 months it's finally here! This is the fretless I've wanted for 20+ years.

32" Armitage
Walnut body, neck & badge
Ebony fretboard
No pickguard
Nordstrand Power Blade in reverse

I have walnut knobs I'm going to put on tomorrow.

Wow, I had no idea the Armitage had been around for twenty years!

On a more serious note, Jake does really great work. My Serek had the best action, playability, and setup of any bass I have ever owned. Congratulations and enjoy!

Well I remember I always wanted an all walnut Carvin with a 2+2 headstock but never got one. And at that time they didn't make a P. Just as well, every Carvin I ever had was terrible. Then I had a Streamer fretless. That had a similar woody vibe but it was heavy and I didn't like the neck.

Looks the same?

EXACTLY the same color, size, the whole bit - even the inquisitiveness. My cat used to be in the middle of things all the time. When the storm door opened on the house there was a whoosh, and she'd bolt for the door to greet whoever it was. She'd get stepped on at parties here and there, because she was always underfoot.

Yeah between her and her sister she's the troublemaker lol

Ok all kidding aside your new bass looks very inviting and must be inspiring to to play.
I would like to ask you about the dots and lines on the side of the neck. White on a pau ferro finger board are often hard to see in when played with low stage lighting.

This is exactly what my Fender players series Jazz bass is like.

Your white markings show up great on your dark fingerboard but they look like Sarek has positioned them for a fretless bass neck, is this true?

I would really like to know how those side marks work for you?

Thanks

Clayton

P.S What is your cats name?

The lines are where the frets would be and where the lines would be if they were on the front. I like them a lot. I had a Birdsong with them and an Ibanez Portamento. They're good for reference but not as distracting as full lines IMO.

That cat is Clara. This is her sister Stella
