NBD - shell pink CME bronco

I preordered my shell pink bass from CME because it would add to the uniqueness of the short scale bass I planned to build. I’d been carrrying around a Gibson EB mudbucker since the 70’s that I wanted to use up. I’d added a Fralin 52 Pbass pickup and a Lollar T-bird in the bridge. It’s swiitched like a strat but it has push pull pots on the two volume controls that ultimately allow every pick up combination. I installed schaller elephant ear gears but the head stock needed to be enlarged to accommodate the tuners. It’s tuned with flatwounds, I may.use nylon tape pounds next string change. It turned out well and it’s extremely versatile bass. There isn’t a bad bass sound in it. I use it through the pictured B-15 clone (D-130 JBJ) and a 1963 Vox AC15 MKii through an 18” Foundation speaker. For recording I use my ‘64 Princeton..
I’m in my 70sand having a blast.
