I have a thang for Fender offsets. Always have, since I was a kid drooling over Jaguars, Jazzmasters, and Jazz basses in Fender catalogs. After I got my Squier VM Jaguar HB Bass, I kept on looking for her sister in the P/J configuration. Found her in California, lost and virtually abandoned. Wearing a nice Crossrock gig bag. With a minor electronic issue, easily corrected. And a terrible setup, corrected in 20 minutes. She’s so purty, and now plays like a dream.

Got the HB Jaguar first, about 10 days ago. Got the P/J version delivered today.

Two very different sounds; the HB sounds much like a Stingray, and the P/J is more like a P with a dash of J flavoring. The P/J’s bass boost circuit is a strong flavor that I have to add sparingly.
