It’s the best boost for metal. Now, isn’t that special!Great looking pair!
How do you like the active bass boost?
I remember the NBD thread on your first one a couple weeks back... nice move adopting the jazzy Sister. Additional Congratulations & Compliments!![]()
Thank you both! That grain on the PJ is amazing man!
Naw, it’s like loving your children, man. When you have a new baby, you don’t love your first child less; it’s additive. Not a zero-sum game.NBD. So special, I had to do it twice...
...and thereby making it half as special![]()

Alright. Hello, everybody. I’m Ronzo, and I’m an addict.
(Hi, Ronzo...)
I have a thang for Fender offsets. Always have, since I was a kid drooling over Jaguars, Jazzmasters, and Jazz basses in Fender catalogs. After I got my Squier VM Jaguar HB Bass, I kept on looking for her sister in the P/J configuration. Found her in California, lost and virtually abandoned. Wearing a nice Crossrock gig bag. With a minor electronic issue, easily corrected. And a terrible setup, corrected in 20 minutes. She’s so purty, and now plays like a dream.
Pics attached.
Must have been Joe Dirt’s bass.
“I’m her sister! I’m her sister!”
Nor did I, until I saw it up for sale. I looked at it and thought, “Dang! That big humbucker is almost in the same position as a ‘Ray!” I never met a StingRay I got along with, but I’ve always liked the sound. I went for it, and I’m very happy I did. It’s not totally nailing the StingRay sounds, but it’s close. Ergonomically, it’s better for me.Never knew the HB existed...was it hard to find one, I'm in the same boat for fender offsets. I like offsets in general, but fender nails it.
I certainly did a "when the f did we get ice cream?" When I saw the HB. Very cool
Carry on...
Sweet!!!
Now if you add the baby sister, you'd be set (VM SS Jag).

Ya think?![]()
Nope. Way too expensive. $230.00 plus shipping from the U.K. doesn’t entice me. A better deal will come along.Well, here's your huckleberry:
