NBD.....Something Fender should have built.

Love everything else about the bass but for some reason the copied autograph doesn't sit right with me. Does your documentation note the ” replica" autograph?

Still it's your instrument, you have been very up front about it's origin and I certainly have to give you credit for an excellently executed tribute instrument. I don't think I've ever seen a bass used as canvas for a painting that I like as much as this one.
This comment has been bugging me for weeks. Maybe bugging me isn't the right word, so I say has made me curious - Why does it bother you and not sit right with you ? I don't think he's (The OP) is trying to sell it, but it is a personal journey. I don't see the harm. It's just a unique signature model amongst many out there. The Modulus Flea doesn't sit right with me because it looks like a POS and belongs on a shelf at Wal-Mart.

I should clarify up front that it's not a big enough issue to make me not appreciate the instrument and I make no moral judgement about the OP.

In answer to your question however, it doesn't sit right with me because a signature on a thing actually means something. Sometimes it's an autograph on a paper or photo. Sometimes it's the mark of a maker. In mass produced goods with a printed signature, it represents an agreed upon endorsement of the one whose signature it is. Even a Flea bass or a George Foreman grill represents the consent of the individual.

The common denominator here is consent. In every use of the signature, the individual has consented to the use of the signature.

I reiterate that I really like the bass. Anyone can see the respect the maker clearly has for Klaus and the impressive effort he put into the whole package. I cast no aspersions on his character or intent, but my feelings about the signature remain.

Hope that clears it up for you.
