NBD: Squier Bass VI

I ordered a white one on 8/2, it was out of stock for a long time - then I canceled and ordered a black one instead, and it shipped right away.
I love how it plays. The only thing I might change is the strings, and put something a little heavier on it. I usually play without a pick, so it's a bit of an adjustment to play fingerstyle on this. Not really because of the string spacing, but more of the lack of a place for my thumb to rest - the pickup is small.

So it's hard to play fingerstyle and your saying it could pass as a bass on a song or with a band?
I'm sure fingerstyle will be easy after a little time. But yeah, I'm sure it could fill the spot of a regular bass - that's one of the main concerns I had before ordering, and now I can finally relax.

7 days from today. Yesterday it was 7 days from yesterday. I have a feeling tomorrow, it will be 7 days from tomorrow.
Congrats! I'm glad these are starting to get into folks hands. I am anxious to hear reports from a variety of people in different settings. I have a strong feeling a sunburst one will make it's way into my collection.
No idea, calling them is of little help. The date on the website is perpetually 7 days from the current date (adds 1 day onto the date every day). When I called to ask they just recited the date listed on the website.
Awesome catch. Minus style points for the headstock tuner and removal of whammy bar. What are you thinking? 
And yes, any of the bass VI variants can definitely replace a bass in many settings. Well they aren't really replacing a bass, because they are a bass. I have no idea how you could play that thing with fingers in traditional way though, I use a pick almost exclusively on my dano 6.

Both the Fender website and Sweetwater list the string gauges at .95-.25. If it was my bass, I'd check the bridge to make sure anything bigger than .95 would fit without mods prior to going up a gauge.
