Aaaahhh, nice!! I know a few folks that play bass and guitar thataway. Funny.... I am a lefty, but I kinda struggled through learning to play right-handed, since all my friends said "that's the way your supposta hold 'em". What did I know? Anyway, my oldest son is a lefty (much more than me) so when he decided he wanted to play my old Yamaha BB800 and asked me to string it lefty for him, guess what? I said, "No, 'cause I'm the dad".
So.....he learned how to play it right handed (sounds like this coulda been a Harry Chapin song). Lol.

My Best friend is a guitar player, lefty.
He's also one of my favorite bass players and just flips the bass over and plays it with a pick left handed, weird strap position and all

Dear fellows. I would like to post a quick question, please, hoping to get some replies and help, thank you.
I already have Rick 4003, Hofner, Fender Jaguar AM, Fender JB MIM and Squier JB from China, but I would like an experience with a 32in scale, so I just ordered a black 037-4560 Squier Classic Vibe 70S Jaguar Bass, the same of this one you guys are talking about (thank you all for the so useful comments!). So, the second reason of this purchase, and the main reason of my question is that I would like to have on this bass a set of mid-scale Black Nylon tapewound strings (Labellas or D'Addario for instance). Would this be OK/reasonable on this make/model of bass? Or you would tell me "Don't do that" for some reason?
Any comments from you would be much appreciated, thank you in advance.
(I am not really a bass player, just start a couple of years ago, I am enjoying it a lot !, I just like to keep "following" some Beatles songs, no slapping at all)

For all the blah blah I've posted about it, it's just a plenty good, not too expensive bass
It might sound a little dark due to the shorter scale (and that's ok)
And it might not

Yep, Like @ShimSpacer said, go for it. The nylon strings will give it a sound all its own, no doubt. I see you have a Ric..... aren't they 33" scale? And a Hofner? Those are 30" scale. And you're not really a bass player? Sheesh, you probably have more experience with different scale lengths than us, lol!! Anyway, I'd like to hear about your findings with the 32" scale !!!

Yes, I am really looking forward to put my hands on this mid-scale bass. However, unfortunately the store later on found out that they actually did not have this exact model in stock, so it seems that it could take a while to be shipped to me, added to some possible delays imposed by this pandemic situation.
Yes covermego, Hofner is short-scale @ 30"and the Ric is 33-1/4", both very comfortable to play. I do not have big hands so I am quite curious about the 32", let's see how it goes for me. And, yes, I will post my comments as soon as I will be able to try it. Thanks again !

follow up -
i installed 50-105 Ernie Ball Cobalt Flats -
i unslammed the action a little & it's most enjoyable and clean
EDIT -
the control knobs have grown on me - they're fine, well made - apololgies, either my eyes or my eyes & mood were bad.
(and i forgot - shimming was 'cause i put on an allparts hi mass. the height was essentially the same as factory, there was no need, i just couldn't leave well enough alone)
under the hood the wiring is clean, it's all pretty well done. i shield taped it tho.
most i'm surprised at how, dunno.. 'colorful' it sounds. maybe a little thin but not in a bad wayView attachment 3835788

I just got one of these a few days ago and ye the jazz pickup is super weak compared to the p. I blend mine with the j rolled off some which ups the output. I think the bridge is fine too(mine has good weight to it)i actually put on a kickass bridge bit it didn't intonate all the way so i put the stock back on. Good fretwork on it and after some tweaks plays like a pro. I had to put some vintage reverse wind tuners on it for both looks and integrity even the stock one felt fine.

I actually put D'addario medium scale tapewounds on my 2021 cv jaguar bass. I liked it but i already have 3 other basses with flats and like the "piano" tone from rounds so i put the factory fender nps back on which i also like. I buy the nps 45-105 when i cant afford dean markley blue steel or dean markley signature set and fender flatwounds 45-100 which are my favorite strings right now.
