On the standard Ray you can order any colour with a matching headstock. The Classic you can't (probably because they figure no one will want to cover that highly figured maple with paint)!

On the standard Ray you can order any colour with a matching headstock. The Classic you can't (probably because they figure no one will want to cover that highly figured maple with paint)!
Those basic two band Stingrays are a bargain. I had one for a short time this year and only parted with it because a Classic Series Sabre came up. The two band Ray really does have a sound of its own and is much the classic Ray sound we all hanker for.
