NBD Traben Neo Limited

Courier just dropped off the Traven half hour back,it's 76F here and the grass needs cutting but I wanna play with my new toy.

Cost very little @ £150 ($220) is in great shape and well set up. Seller is a good guy who just prefers short scales. Can't foresee any problems with this so I'm a happy man. IMAG0202.JPGIMAG0197.JPG

Very nice Traben; that makes me re-think that whole product. I never anticipated seeing one such as that at least without that gaudy looking bridge. That is a very attractive, yet conservative looking specimen, I especially like the burst finish! Moreover, the price is unbeatable.

76F in Scotland???? Whoo, that's a heat wave. Here, in the US Pacific Northwest...well, it's kind of the same thing: it gets above 70F/21C and everyone gets lethargic! As of July 1, I think we hit 90F/32C.

Slainte Mhath!

I don't usually like burst finishes, but I do like this bass. Interesting contrast with the body shape and pick guard, and the body looks like it'd rest nicely on my left knee so I could reach those easily accessible-looking upper frets :D

Thanks guys.

I'm finding more to like about it the longer I have it. OK its not been 24 hrs yet
but so far I've learned it Korean and has a neck profile very similar to my Peavey
Grind. It's almost unplayed, still has the shrink wrap on the machine heads.

The bridge and pickguard are one unit,,another take on the Traven bigger bridge
design, nicely matching the body shape. And the lower cut away does make it
really easy to reach.

A couple of touches make it stand out like the neck tapers out at the nut then back in to the headstock so the neck is stronger at that point, only saw that on one of my other basses and
in the control cavity all the pots are labeled , neatly soldered and gathered with cable tie not
rubber bands. Its a minor point but shows a greater degree of care in manufacturing.
