NBD (Warmoth content)

Since i picked the bass back up a few years ago, I've really, really wanted an early 50s style Precision but never found any that felt comfortable to play. Mostly due to the El Chunko necks. So i decided to build a relatively simple one with the specs that have become a constant in my favourite basses

So here it is
Started with a Warmoth tele bass neck
Roasted maple board and neck with no finish on it
1.5" nut and a slim taper profile
Added some Hipshot ultra lite lollipop tuners

The body is swamp ash with a glass trans yellow finish to it
with contours
Basic bent metal bridge

The pickup is a Seymour Duncan custom shop stack coil wired single, series, parallel with the switch between the volume and tone

Finished off with some D'addario tape wounds

Wow!!! I think I am in love!

Nice thing about Warmoth is if you are patient, You can go through their pre cut bodies and eventually find a grain pattern and weight you like and have it finished whatever way you want. I preferred this over specing out my own since this way you can see the grain and the weight

The not so nice thing, THe CDN/US exchange rate
