NBD!!! (Warwick content)

So I went down to my local shop to look at a new bass. I've been playing a P with flats for the better part of 2 years but the band is stretching out a bit and I need something a little more versatile and a bit more aggressive.

The local long and mcquade has a pathetic selection of bass gear. I've never seen anything other than Squire, Fender, Ibanez and Epiphone. On top of that, I don't really care for active electronics so I know my options will be slim.

I go in and play a short scale Squire Jag, MIM Fender jazz, American Standard Jazz and even a used Ibanez SR1200. I have large hands and found all of the necks extremely uncomfortable. I want something with some meat on it! Feeling a little defeated I ask if they have anything
else in the back. To my shock, they do. The guy goes to the back and comes out with a used Warwick Corvette Taranis. I play it for 20 mins. It sounds beautiful. It has a huge chunky neck hat feels great in the hand. Sold!

I've got band practice tonight so I'll get to put it through the paces right away!

Nice, I've got a 5 string with the J & bucker configuration. It sounds awesome and I gigged and recorded with it since I bought it new in 2005. Congrats, you'll get some great mileage out of this one!

Once upon a time L&M used to sell high end warwicks (talking like 10+ years ago here) I almost pulled the trigger of a 6 string Corvette $$.

Yep, I remember when Long and McQuade came to town, Warwicks and all. Now they don't even carry Rockbass. Still nice to have some competition for Steve's Music.
