NBD! ... Well, NPD really....

Well, my next project was going to be a jazz bass, but I just got this one off CL for $25. Just a plain old Squier Affinity P-Bass. Only thing wrong with it is a broken nut and pick guard. Well, I haven't really checked out the neck yet, the frets look ok, not twisted, a slight back bow, haven't tried the truss rod yet. I was mainly interested in the body. Here it is:

I'd already taken it apart when I realized I'd better snap a picture for you guys.

Not sure what I'll end up doing with it. I'm thinking either a white or a black pick guard, pickup and bridge covers, and a tug bar. Probably I'll put a maple/maple neck on it.

So, there it is. I'll post more when it's finished.

Okay, cool.

No prob about your camera, I post "lame" phone pics here all the time since I'm usually too busy (lazy) to break out my real camera.

Anyway, I have a midnight blue Precision that I often thought about putting a black PG on, but now it's getting so old the original white PG is starting to naturally turn just a little yellow, and it looks really cool. I'm glad I kept it original.

Good luck with your bass and whichever color PG you pick, can't wait to see it all dressed up.
