Tone is hard to describe in words (at least for me) - the one thing that I can say is that all the BB series I've played have a very throaty, distinctive bark and growl when you dig in. IMO, it's just the best passive P/J tone (for me) that I've ever heard. I've never heard this voicing in any other brand.
As far as a general overall idea of tone, I think I'll let the very capable Ed Friedland take it from here - although I must say that with the stainless steel strings on it at the moment - the piano(ness) of it is off the charts. More so than what's in the video. Yes, I have some gigs coming up & this will definitely be coming with me to those!
