NBD - "you're gonna hate it"

Had some cash in my pocket and the YouTubers convinced me to take a swing on this one.

Took some setting up, battery was dead on arrival, as well as the A string. But with some SS DR lo riders, it's growling. Nice neck, nice fretwork. Good balance, more compact than I expected. A winner in my book. Only knock, B string isn't great with this particular string. Not terrible, but it's no 35" scale Spector B.

I like the color.

I like odd basses. they need love too.

Not only do I not hate it: I 1) actively like it, and 2) get a kick out of any hint of affront I often detect in the detractors.

Not only have Jackson sold a tonne of them but the mere thought that Jackson have sold so many really bothers some folk.

No hate from me, I always thought that they were really cool looking. Also that Ovation is the bees knees.

Not a big fan of pointy headstocks. That said, beautiful bass. Love the color and matching finish on back of neck. Congrats on a great looking bass. Fits your fleet very well.

Yours is different, the one I saw has faders instead of knobs. Even odder.

The 2 and 4 had an active eq with faders. The 1 and 3 have passive electronics with dual vol/tone.

Fantastic look IMO and as a bonus, the precision pickups looks like a quarter pounder and if so, everything fits well altogether.
