NBD - "you're gonna hate it"

Congrats on your new Jackson-backer! I was expecting this to be another Fender TBH. Glad to see that it's not.

While Jackson-backers aren't my favorite tonally, I don't hate your bass. Obviously it's inspired by the Rickenbacker 4000 series aesthetically - and those are some of the most stunning bass models ever created!, But it has that Jackson flair to it that differentiates it from its inspiration. As for the subpar B string, I think that's an opportunity to tune your bass E1-C3 (tenor tuning) or D1-A#2 (up a minor third) and experiment. A low D or low E will not sound subpar on most 34" scale basses.

Play it in good health and have fun!

Rad bass! I feel like these are gonna be worth money some day. Everyone hates them but I see them at local shows all the time with younger players. I personally loved them when they first came out because they really went for something different with a twist of traditional. That specific bass looks super slick. If I played 5’s I would be able about it.

After a while the GIF get out of sync and then in sync again. Trippy. Friday evening libations in effect! :D

Had some cash in my pocket and the YouTubers convinced me to take a swing on this one.

Took some setting up, battery was dead on arrival, as well as the A string. But with some SS DR lo riders, it's growling. Nice neck, nice fretwork. Good balance, more compact than I expected. A winner in my book. Only knock, B string isn't great with this particular string. Not terrible, but it's no 35" scale Spector B.

I like the color.

I like odd basses. they need love too.

Gotta say only 10% hate for the pointy headstock. At least it's painted so that is a big plus.

Excellent finish, both in the colors and the execution. Rock that bad boy.

I thought these were possibly the ugliest looking basses I'd ever seen when they first cam out (I think the photo I saw was in lime green).

But I think it looks great in that finish.

I love your bass collection, you've clearly got an eye for the less "conventional" designs. I salute you sir!
