Beautiful. Not sure how common this insight is, but a few years ago, I attended a seminar and demonstration with Paul Reed Smith. Real nice guy. He told us that the bird fret markers are in honor and or memory of his mother, a big bird lover.

My Kestrel feels great and plays really well. I love the red. It’s too bad PRS discontinued it. The Kestrels are very good basses, IMO, and I really don’t know why they are not more popular.

Yeah, I was looking at a new black on black one, but then I seen the red. No new reds, but I found this on reverb for 450. Ordered it, and it just showed up. Dude, nobody would ever guess this was a five year old used bass. It doesnt even look like it was ever played. Zero fret wear. Its freaking clean! I totally scored.
