I've never met a G&L I liked. Tribute or straight up American made. Yeah you should of got the Fender. Whether I've bought off the rack or ordered from Sweetwater, They've always been winners. The only Fender I've parted with in the last 10 years was a MIM Jazz and a couple of American Standards (A Jazz and a Precision). The MIM was just garbage but the American's were 4 stringers and I left 4 string behind 2 years ago. All 5's now. 2 American Pro's and an American Pro II. Soon too be a second American Pro II in the stable as soon as I can find it. I have an old Mike Lull but that's just a different animal.

Thank you. Well, one good thing though, MF sent me shipping label. I don't have to pay for shipping. I even told them about the truss nut being stripped. On chat, so its recorded. No questions. Just apologies and action.

I had a 2013 American Standard for like 6 years. LOVED IT!!! The only reason it’s gone is because I switched Exclusively to 5 string. I’ve seen a few A.S. fivers online and come close to pulling the trigger. But I buy new.

I usually do too. But, good price, and bass looks nice. By the pictures at least. Anything wrong, I know I can get it up to speed. No proprietary parts.

Yeah, I already messed with it :)

I even took a drill to the control cavity and made it bigger. G&L's QC guy to to be shot. Every hole except 2 in the pickguard are completely off center. With the control plate screwed in and set, 2 holes line up on the pickguard. Line up most of the other ones, and the guard sits off the top of the neck with a fat gap. I Jimmie in all back in place. And, the finish is chipped under the guard on the horn. Like, a solid nickel sized chip. But, whatever dude. She looks good, sounds good, and plays good. I'm most likely going to fix all that, but not at the moment.
