I finally took the plunge, after all these years of playing Squier Precision, MIM Precisions, Ibanez, and a bunch of other basses, I present my 2012 Fender American American Standard Precision 5 string in Candy Cola. I own the Squier version of that axe, and when I bought it, I was not sure how being a five instead of a four would affect a P Bass.

The funny thing is, after living with it for a while, it simply seems like every Precision I ever played with alternate fingerings on tap and the ability to suddenly play all that Motown stuff in flat keys effortlessly.

I'd planned to make a PJ out of it, but it's elegantly simple and sufficient as-is.
