I'm definitely putting some different round wounds not sure they'll be new. The current just seem too thin to me.
I have a squier CV 50s pbass that I use as a bestter but since I've gotten the Geddy the CV has beennput back in the gig bag. Meanwhile, although I don't consider the Geddy a beater, I can't put it down. There something about that Geddy Neck.
I don't know if it's the binding or what but yeah the GL jazz neck feels different than my other Jazz necks. I love it!

I finally installed some almost new strings regular 45-105 and it's way better now. Also I weighed my GL and it's 9.74! That is now the heaviest in my stable. I've said this before but weighing your bass(es) is not good for yourself mental health.
I had all the bases I would ever need but always said I wouldn't turn down a black pbass with a maple neck...this is pretty close. What if I put this neck on a black pbass body? Nah, probably better to just sell it.
Putting my regular gauge strings on the GL is the first step in me deciding to keep it. Next, white pearl like pickguard and then fender amp emblem.:D
