OK...so I take my little TBC into GC just to see what they would do. I was thinking that I may grab a Yamaha BB415, or something else. Well the Manager that I usually work with is a little busy...so I tell him no big deal, I am gonna play some stuff and find something I like.

I played a few and then I tried this Ibanez...and whoa! Loved it. The neck felt great! The sound was great!
So I say alright...let me know what you can do. On the sticker it says "List Price $1999...Our Price $1495."
Now mind you I am not anywhere NEAR that price range...but hey...

So a little while goes by, I continue to play the Ibanez...all the while wishful thinking...and out comes the manager. "Why are you getting rid of that bass!?!?!?!" blah, blah, blah...
...long story short. I walked out of GC with my new (Yes I know it has been discontinued) BTB 1305 for $504 out the door!!!!
Plus count in the 12 month no interest and I am a HAPPY CAMPER.

Yup. The one and the same. I was actually quite surprised also. I took it in the TBC gigbag, with the TBC Cert of Authenticity thinking that the package would bring me more...and in the end walked out with the Ibanez in the same gigbag. I guess they didn't make that connection either.

That' s a nice Ibanez. Feels good to play and sounds great. Enjoy!

Actually at this GC...I have NOT had a bad experience. The salespeople are friendly, and seem fairly well informed. The manager always goes out of his way to help, shoot the breeze, whatever.......

Thanks. It was one of those...meant to be...kind of things. It has the right string spacing, the right size neck, the right tone (and adjustability), PLUS I have always liked the BTB style. It balances just like I like it...for me, I am now done. This is it. I do not need to shop any more (but why should that stop me).
