Pop quiz: Which conference has 2 teams in the Elite Eight, more than any of the others?![]()
Here are my hopeful wins for today.
FSU over VCU
UNC over Marquette (ACC stutin'!)
UK over OSU (My grandma's alma matter and has a good following here in Tampa)
VERY CLOSE call here basstotheface. Can't say that I am complaining though as VCU is my dad's alma mater.
BTW someone made a strong move to the top of the leader board with a correct pick of Kentucky over OSU
My chances of winning are all but shot at this point though. I just noticed the PPR column and it looks like dangnewt and Mike have the best chances of taking it home.

Dan, I probably should have been more clear. It's not so much pride as a reaction, a sense of satisfaction after the SEC was derided during the regular season as one of the worst major conferences this year. Having more teams go deep into the tournament than the perennial media favorites (the ACC and the Big East) is pretty cool for this "football" conference. That is a start. But haven't I read somewhere that "pride goeth before destruction."
But 7 conferences are still alive including all of the Big ones except the Big 10 and two mid-majors. Makes it interesting.
UCONN-HUSKIES-HUSKIES-UCONN-WHOO!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry Greg and Mike. I was the only guy at the bar cheering for for UF in a seminoles shirt!
But damn, I think they gave me heart failure a couple times. It took them a while to get going at the start!
The Big East made up 16% of the starting field of 68, and now 25% of the Final Four. Overachievers.![]()
