NCAA Bowl Season 2011

Screw Florida and the "neutral site" for the GA-FLA game which is somehow always in Florida. Usually Florida gets their bye week right before the game, to boot.
Bart, you're a good dude, but if we're gonna go to unrelated UF/UGA tit-for-tats, screw Mark Richt for the timing of those suspensions: [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

Also--Georgia keeps agreeing with the site arrangements for the game. That's because a neutral site means more money for both schools, and there isn't a stadium that is remotely comparable in size between Jax (which is less than 20 miles from the Georgia border) and Athens. We can't help it southern Georgia's got nothing worth a damn other than Savannah.:p

Meh. I think Richt is a good guy and runs a relatively clean program (which may be his undoing) except when he gets too buddy-buddy with the players.

Mostly I was just bitchy due to a "bad day at the office.".

You're right about there being nothing much to south Georgia other than Savannah. It's kind of like north Florida that way. :-p

Darn you Georgia. Y'all gave away the Outback Bowl, and to a Big X team. At least the Gators held on to win a game in their backyard. Another win over OSU in the Urban Bowl. :)

Thanks Jeff Brantley for doing your best. Tough task to step in after a legend like Tebow. I sure will miss Demps.

There was no way all of my schools could win since Georgia and Michigan State play each other. In my heart, I'm an SEC guy, but I'm happy for MSU!

As for South Carolina, Steve Spurrier may the greatest college coach of all time. Seriously, he has coached at Duke, Florida, and South Carolina, three schools that were historically also rans or bad. He made Duke a bowl team, Florida a national power, and it looks like South Carolina is an 11 game winner and may be an SEC/National Champ soon.

I think Richt is generally clean, but the timing of those suspensions was fishy. Given those running backs made the difference in the Florida game, it left a bad taste in my mouth.

LOL, watch it now! I actually don't like Jax much at all, but Gainesville is cool.:)

Yeah, UGA messed up what should have been a 3-0 day for the SEC against the Big Ten.

Maybe it's just me, but the SEC still looks so much faster than the Big Ten. Dubose and Demps were BOTH untouched on that kickoff return against OSU! And in the UGA game, that punt return was ridiculous--if they were playing Bama or LSU, that guy gets tackled at his own 5. Instead, he's able to weave around all 11 MSU players and go the distance.
