NCAA Football 2011 - Week 7

The Wolverines are at a show me again game. Coming back from a deficit was a welcome change last week. Beating the other boys from Michigan will be a true test of this teams ranking. It's been fun so far but the Wolverines are the 2nd best in the Big 10 and maybe third best until they beat rival MSU... That run D is intimidating.

Hmmm. I'm still not sold on the Spartans. They've beaten weak teams, Cousins deperately tried to give the game away against Ohio State, and the got spanked by Notre Dame.

I think Big Blue will win by 2 TDs.

I have made a concerted effort to be more mellow about sports in general, so that is why I have backed off. I'll pop a shot at Lane Kiffin now and then or those wannabe-SEC conferences, but that's about it.

Hard for me to get ramped up right now after two blowouts.

I will say this: Boise State to the Big East would be ridiculous. Has anyone looked at a map?:eyebrow:

Heh. I hope it's Brissett rather than Driskell. He showed poise in the pocket, he stepped up away from the pressure and made a few nice throws. It's hard to get a read on Auburn, but if everyone's healthy other than Brantley I think UF has a decent shot. Bama and LSU look so much better to me than anyone else in the SEC.

I agree almost entirely. Auburn is definitely tough to get a read on because they've been so inconsistent. I think the advantage has to go to Auburn with Brantley out and the game being in Auburn.
Something to watch for (imho), As I said a couple weeks ago, before the Fla/Ala game - Florida defense is soft against the run straight at them (power off-tackle). LSU and Bama both exploited that.
Fla's defensive advantage is team speed, particularly at linebacker. If Auburn runs right at Florida, I think they'll be successful and win. If Auburn tries to be tricky, running side line to side line Florida's defense will eat them alive.

My game of the week is GT vs Virginia. I just hope GT gets out of there with a win.

(puts his feet up, lights a victory cigar)

well we had to sweat this one today, but LSU just barely squeaked by 38-7 over the UT Rednecks.

it was touch and go there for awhile but i knew my tigers would do it....:D
