NCAA Football 2013 - Week 14

I never thought I'd say this, but thank goodness there won't be another Gator football game for 9 months. And Foley's continued support of Muschamp is incomprehensible.

I agree, on both comments. My goodness this season drug on like nails on a chalkboard. I never thought I'd see an SEC season where Vandy wins twice as many games as Florida. Maybe Foley thinks underneath all those injuries is a better football team.

Nice win by Penn State. Good to see them go out on top in a tough season.

As for Auburn and Alabama. In my opinion, Saban made some mistakes that probably came from over confidence. I felt bad for the players on the field, but watching the Alabama fans crying in the stadium was embarrassing for them.

The crying young blond kid is destined for interweb meme fame.

That was one SEC game I actually watched most of, and enjoyed a bunch. The Civil War game was pretty entertaining too, although both teams regressed a lot as the season wound down.

Congrats to Auburn. Three games won in the final 30 seconds this year. Fate, destiny, luck...who knows. I felt like we had a loss brewing all season. It hurts more when you lose it right at the end, but at the same time, the rivalry needed something like this. I know a lot of Alabama folks personally who needed this loss.

Roll Eagle.

That means War Damn Eagle. Last night was one the best games in college football history and the best iron bowl of all time. I went to Auburn in spite of my family's allegiance and have never looked back. My grandfather played for Bear Bryant and did not speak to me for two years when I decided to go to Auburn. I met my beautifuI wife in Auburn. I was there when we got screwed over in 2004 for the BCS championship and was too broke to go to the 2010 National championship. Waaaaaaaaaaaar Eagle Hey!!!

I am shamelessly reposting my thread o started here. I'm just so excited I can't see straight!

I'm still bummed Bama lost. I think they're the better team, and would probably win that game 7 times out of 10, but oh well.

I'm pulling for Auburn to win the MNC now. Need a little help. I was hoping OSU would have lost this past weekend in order to setup an Auburn opportunity in case they did beat the Tide. Miracles are still happening it seems, so there is a chance. Having the national championship in the state of Alabama for 5 years straight would be epic. No demographic loves football more than we do.

Eublet, you are a fan who knows the meaning of sportsmanship and you don't let the sting of a loss make you forget it. My hat's off to you.

I"m not rubbing it in while the wound is open, but I may have to get myself one of those "Hey Nick, got a second?" T-shirts.

Jason...

there's more than a chance...look what MI damn near did to them

Smokey...i am definitely pulling for Auburn now...not for the reason Jason is...but for a similar reason...the SEC should be in the title game every year....the reason we aren't is because we beat each other and the anti-SEC-biased national media want to pretend that's the same as losing to an outsider...sorry, it's not

anyway....let's have some love for Vandy!...:D

LOL! I love that shirt. It would be even more funny if Chris Davis hadn't of stepped out of bounds.

Yep, y'all are king of the hill in that department. Here's more proof: [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

Yeah, something like that happens almost every year on both sides when there is a loss. It's typically not a death though, there there have been a few over the years. But there are always reports of fights and people getting hospitalized. It's sad, but goes with the territory I think when fan bases are as rabid as Alabama/Auburn are.

How 'bout them Auburn Tigers!? WAR EAGLE!

Oh and Eublet, that picture you posted doesn't even show Chris Davis' foot on the ground. I did my research. :)

What a hell of a game though.

I'm just trying to stir up the natives! :D

Auburn won the game. NO doubt in my mind. I'm pulling for you guys this weekend. We absolutely can not let Missouri win the SEC. I'm also pulling for Mich State to beat OSU, and then for Auburn to beat Florida State.

5 years in a row! Heart of Dixie! What a state we live in!

The local TV NBC affiliate here in Mobile is reporting that Saban is leaving for Texas, claiming they have two sources saying it's a done deal. No joke. This should be fun. Hello, Coach Kirby?

Yowsah! It doesn't surprise me though. Just recently, I heard Saban going on and on how he didn't want to leave Alabama, he was happy there, yadda yadda. That kind of talk is usually followed up by the coach leaving shortly after.

Just this week, Sarkisian went on the local sports radio station in Seattle to say he only talked to USC, but did not interview. A few hours later, Haden was announcing him as the new head coach.

But wait.......if Saban does go to Texas, what will happen to Muschamp? I had Willie all packaged up with a bowtie ready to deliver back to the Longhorns.

I take comfort in the fact that Washington State lost to Auburn by the same margin that Alabama did. Every year, we're getting better.

It's getting more interesting in the PAC-12 with coach movement, and I'm liking the odds for next year's Apple Cup in Pullman with a new husky coach.

The coaching carousel is beginning to spin.....
