Yeah, right...mmhmm...let's see who is changing posts Sunday morning, hmmm???

:D

GEAUX TIGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(I'm pickin' 'em to play up to their level this season, and win the SEC West for sure, probably win the SEC again as well, and I won't be changing that quote at the end of the season - like Mike, if I'm wrong, I'll eat crow at the end of the season, like a man! :p )

Go look at Kenny Irons' rushing yardage for that game. He torched you guys. At home. Not to mention Brandon Cox is better this year.

I know you have fanatical pride for LSU, I'm just saying don't bet the farm or even Bessie the mule. Definitely not the ol' John Deer :D

I, like Mike and yourself, am fully willing to eat all the crow I deserve. God knows, Mike didn't let me forget it the last time the Steelers beat Indy. :D

anyone in Greensboro / High Point (NC that is) going to watch the Toledo - Kansas game Friday night? Anyone?

Trying to find Toledo fans in NC is like... well, finding Toledo fans anywhere not called Toledo.

Anyway - if anyone around wants to join up for the game, let me know.

GO ROCKETS!!!

go rockets!

i'm a michigan state guy myself. but my brother is a huge UT fan. he went there. he's at OSU right now, though, so he won't be able to go to every single UT game this year (home and away).

as for the spartans, i can't tell if they're mediocre or terrible. i still harbor some foolish hope that they'll beat ND this year and have a really great season. they sometimes show the talent to go 9-3, but realistically, it'll be closer to 6-6 or 7-5.

but i'm such a good state fan that i like notre dame more than i like michigan. the best case scenario for me is a 10-7 ND victory that makes both teams look bad. they're both overrated, though UM is much more so. ND is at least a top 10 team.

as for the UM-OSU rivalry, it's not just the 100 year history, but it's also that for most of the schembechler-hayes years, the big 10 title also hinged on their games, and they were often upset victories. and the rose bowl being what it was, it has a huge deal to win the big 10.

there's absolutely no doubt that the SEC is the strongest conference. the good news is that every other conference has at least one really good team. but this year, more than most, will show impact of the schedule on a season. the strange irony is that if a team finishes the SEC undefeated, it may well be the best team we've seen in a long time, but i still wouldn't assume they'll win the national title game. that's why they play the games, i guess, instead of just talking about them.

GEAUX TIGAHS!!!!!

we have to play auburn, florida, and tenessee at their house this year :crying: not fair!

this will be war this saturday!!

Yeah, and I'm gonna miss it, gotta take the kids to Carowinds (think "Six Flags Over Charlotte, NC) tomorrow! :bawl:

I'll have to avoid seeing or listening to any news on the radio during the day and just live vicariously through the SportsCenter report when I get home.

GEAUX TIGERS!!!

and yes the PAC-1 blows.

:ninja:

Wadda ya mean, they ain't even got ONE good team out there in the PAC-10!

:D

Tomorrow is going to be great! I have a couple buddies who graduated from Auburn coming over to watch the Auburn/LSU game first. After that, one of my other buddies and his wife from Knoxville are coming over to watch the UF/UT game.

only two words needed after that thrashing:

GO BLUE!!

Michigan made quinn look like a high school qb only rushing the 4 down lineman 80% of the game. I still expect nd to be in a good bowl game, since their nbc's darlings and have a joke of a schedule. Very impressed with Michagan's passing game, I'm looking forward to them playing an actual good team- bring on the buckeyes!!

what a day yesterday!

michigan beats the stuffing out of an overrated notre dame team.

louisville tops miami.

clemson over fsu in the final seconds of the game.

same with oregon over oklahoma. (oregon has to have the worst jerseys of all time, btw. compared to oklahoma's slick-looking shade of red, i almost wanted to root against'em!)

the auburn/lsu game was a real slobber-knocker. one of'em had to win it, though. a really close call determined the game, unfortunately, but it was the right decision. kenny irons is awesome, btw.

usc is usc.

and, of course...

the florida/tennessee game gave us heart-attacks. man! 21-20... so close! but at least the better team won in the end. (just check the stats.)

i don't think we've got what it takes for us to be a national championship team, but i think we can crack the top 5.

we've still got to face alabama, georgia, lsu, and auburn though.

Anytime Note Dame gets thrashed its a good day...especially if they're overrated!

LSU, ouch!

If ND is overrated what dose that say about Penn State? As a MI fan it isn't Ohio state or Penn State that scares me, it's WS and IN. MI always seems to find a way to stumble against one of the lesser teams. The one thing that encourages me about MI this year so far is the Defense, the only time ND (a very good offense) was able to move the ball was when MI went into prevent. They may have one of the top defenses in the country. But the offense still scares me. They still don't have a "take what the other team gives them" attitude. They still are to predictable on offense.

As far as MI rivalries, MI STILL has the best winning percentage of ANY major college football program and they do it without paying players like the University of Spoiled Children. USC may not be able to play in a national championship game after yesterdays revelations. Looking at the recent National Champs, is it possible to win one without cheating?

Well done with BBQ sauce please. Man, I don't get it. If it were OSU, or USC, or a legitimate #1 like that that beat Notre Dame that way, I could accept it. But Michigan?!?! Come on. They will finish THIRD or FOURTH in the Big 10. They ain't that good! I guess what matters is, they WERE that good for one day yesterday.

Dog gone those LSU Tigers! What a great game though. JaMarcus Russell isn't quite the dominant QB I thought he was though.

It looks like I'll have to rely on Florida to bring down the mighty War Eagle on October 14th. That game against Tennessee was a good one.

burk.....leave Penn State out of the ND discussion!! They are a young team that had a bad day last week. They'll beat Michigan. :D
