Not specifically the school. I just always get a little worried when a guy goes from a coordinator to a big job like this one.

I know Louisville isn't a high profile program, but they have been playing better than usual in recent years. Bringing in a coordinator from one of the top three programs in the nation will also bring along some high expectations.

I wish Charlie the best, just like I did when Dan left. I hope he wins every game he coaches down there. I just thought maybe he would have been better off starting out somewhere else to hone his HC skills before he puts on the headset for a job like this one.

the things we do for "sports"
...and it's funny, UW is one of the top academic public schools in the country with a less than decent football program. You'd think they would have other, more important, concerns, like growing organs or curing cancer

Haha, so now Tennessee is under investigation for sending hot college chicks to high school football games to convince recruits to commit. Brilliant! Too bad it's illegal.

In an unrelated story, Tiger Woods now considering enrolling at Tennessee as a communications major.

LOL. I'm a Stanford grad and hate USC much more than Cal. I think it's because I have some respect for Cal for having some academic standards.

Or it could be because I just dislike USC so much.

There have been some ugly moments, but mostly, Cal vs. Stanford is a fairly friendly rivalry. I always root for Stanford against USC. Perhaps part of that is that they're bay area.

And not the yankees of the damn conference, ha ha.

You know who's got great, classic uniforms? USC, baby.

So much hate and jealousy directed at the Trojans from the rest of the Pac-10. We'll be back on top next year, too.

By the way, USC is the Lakers of the conference. The Yankees suck.

I hate the Lakers, too. Not as much as SC, because basketball's not a big deal to me, especially pro basketball.

I can't deny that USC is successful and has good uniforms. Doesn't make me hate their guts any less though. It's sort of fun to hate them, though. They're like the villains in a story, and I'm glad that these particular villains dress well. They apparently wear the same uniforms that they did in the 60's. I wish Cal would as well.

Don't think too many are jealous of SC this year, though, ha ha.

No, mosdef not the year I expected from USC, lol! I understand that a lot of folks don't care for the Trojans, or the Lakers for that matter, but success breeds contempt. I hate the Yankees, always have, always will. The Cowboys, too.

I'd love to see Cal sport some vintage uniforms. Those yellow jerseys are awful. The Ducks are the ugly champs, though, at least Cal wears the school colors. Why has Oregon incorporated black and gray into their scheme?

More hardware for Suh. Nagurski, check. Lombardi, check. Bednarik, check. Outland, check. Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year, check. Finalist for the Walter Camp, and although he didn't win, was named to the All-American team. Nominated for two more, the Lott (for Best Defender) and the Heisman for Best Player. What an incredible player and humble man.
