NCAA Week 4

Oh, I ain't going as far as Mike. I'll be worried, and no way will we win by 24. If I had to guess right now, I think we win by 10. But that's 3 weeks away.

...mmhmm...

Lee looked like crap the first half, but he settled down when he became the "man" after the injury to Hatch. He looked pretty good, and it appears that he made a solid case to start with his performance.

That paired with the 9 defensive linemen that would ALL be starters anywhere else, and Charles Scott...I'm feeling relatively happy about our chances in 3 weeks.

Jeez, I hope Hatch remembers his own name by then! That guy was so out of it!

Yeah, that was scary. On the replay, it actually looked like one of his own O linemen hit him with a knee right in the helmet. He definitely looked like he wasn't sure which way was up...I sure hope he's OK.

Well, I was hoping my Irish could pull one off yesteday. They got down field but just couldn't finish the drive. What I am excited about is, most of their offense are Sophmores, so we will only get better.

I will have to say the LSU Auburn games kept me on the edge of my seat. Now that is what Saturday Football is supposed to be about. If Lee can play UF like he played the second half I think LSU can go to the swamp and still one.

I wonder if Hatch knows what day it is?

You should watch more UT games.....

Sh-yeah right, I don't think so. I don't see how you Vol fans put up with that.

But I know what you mean. Foster is having a tough time. He gave it away to UF a couple times, but one of them wasn't really his fault. It was more on Crompton. It's going to be a long year for UT, which doesn't bother me one bit.

I decided it might be interesting to review the SEC picks that the good Dr., Gard and I made for last weekend--yeah, this is pretty late in the week, but I've been busy. So here goes:

Auburn/LSU
Dr. S: I think it's going to come down to a clutch field goal.
Gard: LSU 24, Auburn 3
Me: LSU 24, Auburn 16
Actual score: LSU 26, Auburn 21

Hey, whaddya know, Gard was too optimistic.:D It's hard to tell who was closer on the victory margin between me and Dr. S, but I did come reasonably close to on the score. I'm gonna give this one to me.;)

Florida/Tennessee
Dr. S: UF 35, UT 10
Gard: UF 24, UT 6
Me: UF 24, UT 13
Actual: UF 30, UT 6

Yep, I was too conservative. Dr. S was closer on the margin, but Gard was closer on the score and nailed UT's point total. One for Gard.

UGA/ASU
Dr. S: UGA 28, ASU 7
Gard: UGA 35, ASU 10
Me: UGA 34, ASU 13
Actual: UGA 27, ASU 10

Dr. S tied me for victory margin and was closest on the score.

Alabama/Arkansas
Dr. S: Bama 31, Arky 3
Gard: Bama 24, Arky 10
Me: Bama 28, Arky 14
Actual: Bama 49, Arky 14

Gard and I let our hatred for Saban get the best of us. Dr. was closest in this beatdown.

USC/Wofford
Dr. S. USC 24, Wofford 7
Gard: USC 31, Wofford 14
Me: USC 44, Wofford 13
Actual: USC 23, Wofford 13

Boy, I was way off! Spurrier needs to get it in gear. Dr. S takes this one by a hair. That's 3 for him, one apiece for Gard and I (who apparently know each other's teams better than our own!).

You guys are free to disagree with my conclusions, of course.:)
