NCAA Week 8

*yawn*

UF doesn't play today, so it's a pretty boring Saturday for me :(.

Yep. LSU is playing SC, which will be another yawner not worth watching unless you're a big fan of either team. Texas against Missouri? Maybe, but I'm not going to adjust my schedule to watch it like I do for UF games.

It looks like I'll spend the afternoon with my wife doing something she wants to do. She's going to love this.

Ole Miss has to be the most impressive team in the nation that's 1-3 in its own conference. Kudos to Bama for toughing it out.

Kind of a dull day, otherwise (of course, my team didn't play). Texas is ripping Missouri a new one--28-zip early in the 2nd!

I know the Big 12 has some really good QBs and all, but I've gotta say--I'm not too impressed with their defenses so far.

My efforts in prediction failed for the most part. Texas looked awesome on both sides of the ball and Ohio State is a different team with Wells and Pryor in the backfield together.

Anybody else see the end of UCLA-Stanford? Great comeback by the Bruins in the closing moments.

I actually fell asleep watching the Trojans' 69-0 dismantling of WSU. I think the Cougars may be the worst D-1 football team ever.

I'm looking forward to the BCS ratings coming up.

Trojans were down to the bottom of their roster by the second half and running basic plays. Wasn't pretty.

Texas is definitely the real deal! Anybody besides me notice that their QB has the perfect name for the team. Crank up the Heisman hype!

For having such a young secondary, Texas is really showing grit and getting the job done. Not bad for a team everybody didn't think would do much this season.

Texas Tech isn't worth their ranking after that lousy first half against a bad Aggie team. Their special teams will be the beginning of their downfall.

Texas absolutely rolled Mizzou last night. Even as a Texas fan I was a bit surprised when they were ranked #1 this past week - now I'm pretty confident we are playing the best football in the nation right now.

I'm surprised on how they jumped on Mizzou so early in the game. I figured it would be like 17-14 at halftime. They look impressive, but they have a tough stretch coming up against Oklahoma State and @Tech.

I'm sure you're referring to Florida being ranked #10 in the BCS rankings. If so, I agree with you 100%, that is a travesty.
I'm not sure just yet. Florida has every chance in the world to improve their BCS rankings before it's all over. They did get beat by Ole Miss, not a ranked team. If they knock of Georgia they'll be in the SEC game, where they'll have a chance to knock of Bama or LSU. Florida should be pulling for Bama at this point to go undefeated, as beating an undefeated team in the SEC championship will be huge for them in the BCS rankings.

And several of the other teams above Florida WILL lose before it's over. PSU and OSU coming around the corner. Either one losing is good for Florida. Texas Tech is likely to lose a game before the end of the season.

The SEC is a cool league right now. There are four teams who all control their own destiny. LSU and Bama in the west, Florida and Georgia in the East. What I'm afraid of is that a 1 loss USC team, who play the weakest schedule around, will get sent to Miami in place of a 1 loss SEC team. It wouldn't surprise me to see Texas go the rest of the season without a loss. Of course, if Bama can stay undefeated then none of this will matter.

As crazy as the BCS is, (I'm all for a +1 system), you can't argue that NCAAFB keeps your interest like no other sport. Every week is mega important. I love it!
