NCD: Fender Rumble 210 Impulse Purchase

So there I was looking in a music store at a Ampeg PF-500 and Ampeg PF-210HE. Then I went to move it and was reminded I am getting too old for this. I turned around and spotted a used Fender Rumble 210 v3 and the next thing I knew I had purchased it to use with my Rumble 500 v3 combo. As I got home I set the 500 on top admired the look and the sound, right before I remembered I haven't been gigging for years. Well, I'm ready now.

I like it.

I'm considering an add-on cabinet for my v3 200 combo. Logic tells me to just get the 15" as to not mix driver sizes. However, some suggest the 12" and 2x10 are good additions as well.

I think the 12" is the recommended extension cab, whatever that means. I have the same combo and love it... and am absolutely interested in an ext. cab for it.

So hows it sound?
I played the Rumble 500 combo for a while last evening both with and without the extension. Playing first with the extension, I was questioning my decision. Then I unplugged it and noticed a slight drop in in the fullness of the sound. It is a perfect compliment to the combo.

Fantastic combo!
Looks good together :)
Congrats.
Now get out there and use it.

Thanks. My wife was with me, I was waiting for her to talk me out of it, instead she said pretty much the same thing about "get out there and use it". But then she added something about soundproofing my office/practice room.

Good score! I have the 500 combo and a v3 1-12 ext. cab as well, the combo is great on it's own, but the ext. cab really ads to the fullness.
I recently purchased a v3 500 head to use as a backup with the 1-12 cab and can't decide which I like better, the combo or the head and 1-12 cab.
Love the Rumbles!

Very nice. I've been 100 % satisfied with my 500 combo but was thinking of adding the 2x10 or 4x10 just for pure domination. I think it's time.
I guess this was on my subconscious GAS list because like many I liked the appearance and felt 4-10s are better than 2-10s. Don't get me wrong the Rumble 500 combo is great by itself and does a great job of overpowering a loud drummer but additional speakers are better.
