One of the most rewarding experiences I had in my career was playing the bass while Jeff Genzler tweaked a cabinet to get the exact tone/performance we were looking for. He would ask "do you need more punch....lows....mids......quicker response etc." From there, he knew EXACTLY what to do to get the cabinet there. From going to thicker or stiffer baffles, smaller or larger dust caps, changing the material of dust caps etc. He is a genius in cabinet design. He is in industrial design too I might add.
Larry Ulman from Euphonics Audio once told me "Jeff Genzler is the last of the TRUE cabinet designers". Folks should know that some iconic brands of amplifiers reached out to Jeff to design speaker enclosures for them.
Add to that the genius of Agedhorse (Andy Field) with his mastery of electronics design and engineering, it was a wonderfully fulfilling time. IMHO, we came out with some quite notable gear of which I was proud in my affiliation. Good times.
