To anyone sensitive to neck dive I can only recommend trying headless basses. It has made all the difference to me. I am not saying there arent well designed basses with headstocks that dont neck dive. But with a headless design the weight distribution is different and I havent encountered a headless bass that had neck dive issues,....except maybe the Steinberger Basses without that "strap extender". A headless bass where the upper horn extends to somewhere around the 12-14th fret should not have any of those issues.
