Neck position: Nordstrand NJ4SV or Big Split....and why?

I am having a 4 string made (34" scale) and putting the MM4.4 in the bridge position. I had been planning on the Big Split at the neck position but it was suggested to me that I might consider the NJ4SV instead. I would appreciate any input and reasoning/opinions.
