I just happened to have 4 necks off bodies today , 2 Warmoth and 2 Fender . Here is what they weigh

Warmoth Lined Fretless , Slim profile J with Schallers / Rosewood finger board

I have an AllParts maple '51RI P/Tele style neck (de-fretted) that weighs 1lb/5oz and a Warmoth ebony/wenge fretted J neck the weighs 2lbs/7oz - both weighed w/no tuners. The Warmoth is heavy, but it plays/sounds great.

Yeah. 2 lbs 10 oz for my wenge/wenge Warmoth neck I'm selling, but that's with 3 Hipshot tuners and a Hipshot D-tuner. It's certainly heavier than a maple Fender neck.

This is great information. Thanks so much for doing this, in fact I was thinking of asking this very question. Every time I see bass body's for sale over 4 lbs I think about what the total weight will be with the addition of all the hardware so this is a huge aid in calculating finished weights. Thanks again. I just picked up an Audere JDB3 off CL today and surprised of the weight, I forgot they were so heavy. By the way, how high does your scale go and where did you get it and the price if you don't mind please.

It does read in lbs. which I should have set it to for ease of reading . The scale is a Escali and you can find them everywhere . I got it from ebay for like 35 bucks or so . It has a max of 15 lbs . Yes there are different tuners on these and I'm sure that makes a difference here and there . I was actually going into this thinking the Warmoth would be much heavier then it turned out to be .

I'd be interested in seeing the difference too. It is $60. Ordered on my last two necks from them.

I compared my fretted Fender P single piece maple neck with ultralights to my fretless Status and the Status was heavier by 3 or 4 ounces. I imagine my fretted Status neck was even heavier.
