need a 4x10..cant choose!!!

I emailed the person and am waiting for a reply...I really just need VOLUME man, we practiced last night and this 15in peavey was farting out on me at practice levels on every high note, it sounded like I had a compressor on the bass...and I dont! I think I just have bad luck with bass gear :hiding:

I just picked up one of these 410 cabs:

I tried several in the store before choosing this one - very nice tone and can go very loud without breaking up. I didn't care for the GK stuff or the Crate stuff I tried - the speakers on this sounded much better. Very good definition and solid lows.

If you need to finance - it might be a good option, especially as it is on sale right now for $250. I am planning on picking up another while it is on sale to have a matching stack. Worth going to GC and see if you like it.

I saw someone mention a Carvin BR410, and that's a great suggestion. When I first got my Carvin rig, the local music store owner (friend of mine) didn't have high expectations. He personally uses a Mark Bass combo that he thought couldn't be beat. Few weeks later, I played a gig with him using the head and just the 410, after which he couldn't stop talking about my tone. The Carvin speaker sound great, good power handling, and not all that heavy!

well, I bought the svt 410HE ( of course before I had a chance to read the post above) So far it is sounding good, cant use the 1x15 with it because the 15 is 4ohm..... this will hopefully work at the gig and until I can grab a 15....sounds ok with my ashdown MAG 300 head, the wife gave me the go ahead to grab a used PEAVEY T-MAXX for 199.00 while we were there but I could not do it with xmas being so close....it was hard to walk away from....but I dont know nothing about that head either!

It sounds good in MY ROOM..not sure what it will be like at a gig. it dont sound bad, the low end sounds fine to me so far, I am sure it would sound better with a better head! My room is like a square 18x18, so I cant even get far enough away to really hear what it is doing!

ok guys, so I went with the TC bh500 and the matching 4x10 cab, should be hear tomorrow...hope I made a good choice...My local GC did not have these to try out so my fingers are crossed! any of you guys using this set up? I would love to hear your opinions on this rig!

I have the TC Electronic BC410. Its an average sounding 410, not bad not great. What i like is its 4 ohms and can handle 500 watts. Its pretty light for a 410 as well.

Sounds good to me....They SAY that the TC heads complement the cabs pretty well...but you can never trust what "THEY" say...just have to wait and see...I am sure It will sound better to me than this ashdown MAG 300 (no not the one with a compressor...older) with one blown speaker :D
