Anything else, really. Eric Clapton should consider that, as well.As my new band puts together a new song list, I've drawn a line in the sand and have refused to play Wonderful Tonight. I don't care if it's a guaranteed a**-grabber, I'm tapping out. Any suggestions for a slow dance ballad that fits in a predominantly mid-80's and newer alt/modern rock set list? I'd even venture into new country if it's a sure thing.

Boooo! LolQ. How do you teach a duck to sing the blues?
A. Stick it in the oven until it's bill withers.
Just the two of us have gotten that joke so far....Boooo! Lol
When you're doing covers for money, "homey don't play that" is a surefire way to get bumped to the second string. Save the snobbery for your originals gig, and bank those Benjamins baby ;-)
Or we're the only two to admit it. LolJust the two of us have gotten that joke so far....
Surefire way to loose fans is to refuse to play a song they want to hear. If they request it, and you can play it, you should.
